I am pretty desperate to get out of debt. Well, who isn’t, right? Unfortunately, I have tried to get myself out of the hole. Somehow, I seem to be getting deeper in it.
I have now come to the conclusion that I cannot get out of debt, at least not by myself. I was wondering if any of you could please give me some advice. Is there someone I should see or speak with? I tried speaking to god, but she never listens to me (I’m sure god is a woman).
Any advice would be most welcome. Even the slightest positive difference can give me some hope. Thank you.
Glad to see you have a sense of humour. I’m assuming that was what it was. Anyway, having been in a pretty bad way myself, I managed to turn my life around. I wanted to give you some encouragement to show you that it can be done.
Will it be easy? Absolutely not. There’s a lot of stuff involved, like hard work, sacrifice, etc. However, it can be done if you also stay organized, focused and have a plan.
There is nothing wrong in seeking professional help. I am so glad I did. I contacted Harris & Partners Inc for debt help. It turned things around. Now I had proper advice instead of fumbling in the dark.
I think you are right. There are times I feel like I am doing things aimlessly. I feel like something I try will work, but months pass by and I am still in the same boat. Thanks for the encouragement and advice. I feel a little more hopeful now. And yeah, got to have a sense of humour or I’d go nuts.
You’re welcome. I know how hard it can be. Don’t bear this burden on your own.
Have you thought of consolidation? You can combine all of your debts into one. This way, instead of your head spinning at the fact that you owe several companies, you just pay one debt. You may also be able to lower your monthly payments. Consolidation is one way you can get some favourable terms. At least look into it.
I absolutely will look into it. Thanks for the info. I never even thought about stuff like this because I’m just not aware of some of these options. I have a lot to learn, I admit.
Here’s a simple idea that many people do – create a budget. Have you done so? It can really make a huge difference if you get organized and write stuff down.
Take a look at your life. Look at what you spend on. Start questioning whether you need something or not. If you can make just one change, it can help, but it may not be enough.
However, if you made several changes, when you put them altogether, there could be a significant change for the better. Do you need 2 phones? Could you change your phone plan? Can you make your own lunch? Think about it.
I can see that you are right. I can also see that it will make a difference. I will have to look into it closely, of course. I think I also have to admit that it’s time I got some proper help. Thank you all for helping and for opening my eyes.
No problem. Keep your chin up.
