I’m a naturally hairy guy with too much hair in all the wrong places. It’s something I’ve been very self-conscious about my whole life, so I finally decided to go through with laser hair removal. I just don’t know what to expect though.

If you have had it done, were you satisfied with the treatment and results? Would you recommend it to others?

If you’re going to remove unwanted hairs, I would definitely recommend laser hair removal. I would not go back to the other methods I have tried in the past. One benefit is that the laser pulse is really fast, so it can treat many hairs at the same time.

They explained it to me. Each second, it can treat an area the size of a 25-cent coin. Sometimes, it depends on what area is being treated. It can take as long as sixty minutes or it could take just a minute. For those fine hairs above your lips, it should be rather quick.

Some men have hair on their back. This area will take much longer. I go to Dermetics and yes, I would recommend them. You can call them and ask them to tell you more. Explain to them what you would like to have done.

One benefit I like about laser treatment is that the results last for a long time. You do it, get it out of the way and you can just forget about it until the next time.

Take shaving for example. You probably have done it. Hair will start coming back and you have to do it again and again. I mean, who has time these days, you know?

Even using chemicals or waxing can irritate the skin. Sometimes it can be painful and itchy. My god, I had enough of that! Personally, I have not had any issues with laser treatment. You still feel a little uncomfortable, but I can tolerate it quite well.

So, yes, I would recommend it too. I’m satisfied with the results, but that’s just me. I can’t speak for everybody.

Can you actually feel the laser? I thought you felt nothing?

Don’t worry, it is not as bad as waxing. You do feel the laser treatment. It also depends on how well you tolerate pain I suppose. There are some stinging sensations, even little pin pricks but I could tolerate it. Mind you, I’m a bit of a wuss, so there’s hope for others.

Certain areas tend to be more sensitive like the underarms or bikini area. You can also tell the technician. They can try to reduce the pain. I think there is a cream they use.

I believe they can also do something to the laser to cool it down. I never tried all of that. Ask them more about it, but try to stay with it at first. If you really can’t tolerate it, then tell them.
